I believe the pastry chef used to work with my father at a hotel years ago. My father introduced me to this place and I have to say...best tiramisu and croissants by far!! That's all we get whenever we come here. I never deviate from tiramisu or the croissant. No one makes croissants as flaky as Cannelle. They are very similar to the ones I ate in France so I was very pleased they make them the same way. Every time I'm in Jackson Heights or Astoria, I make a pit stop and visit Cannelle. Enjoy!

This is my go to spot for birthday cake. I've enjoyed many of their different cakes over the years and you really can't go wrong with anything that they offer. This past week I was looking for a spot to make a cake for a first birthday party and Cannelle didn't disappoint. If you're looking for a cake large enough to feed a big group of people but don't want anything too fancy or covered in fondant and food coloring, then Cannelle is the place for you. I ordered a red velvet sheet cake big enough to feed 60+ people on a Wednesday and had it picked up the following Sunday morning. They packed it in a big sturdy box and the cake made it safely upstate an hour and a half away. When it came time to present the cake, removing it from the box was easy peasy and we got a lot of oohs and aahs from our guests. Best part was that the cake is actually really delicious - super moist and not too sweet. Several people including myself went back for seconds. So, not only is Cannelle a great spot for the occasional treat, it is also an excellent spot for special occasion, no fuss, high quality and most importantly delicious cake.

The pastries here are always amazing, but the presentation of the sandwiches and what you get it is entirely different. The sandwiches in the display are packed full of meat, but when you're given one it looks like this. When asked to switch sandwiches, after not biting into and showing them how little was on this $8 sandwich, I was repeatedly told "all sales are final" and was refused help. If you don't want a sandwich like the one pictured, go somewhere else.

Everything was delicious and the service was so quick. I got a tuna sandwich and I swear it tasted like it was caught today. The richness of the chai beats what comercial coffee shops are selling and the espresso 31 was a delicious surprise with crunchy yumminess inside! I highly recommend stopping by Cannelle’s patisserie if you have the chance 🥐💕

Solid. I have been coming here for many years. I love the egg and cheese croissants as well as any quiche they make. I was there morning of 10/13/24 and the team was exceptional. The packing shows thoughtfulness and precise execution. Excellent job morning-team!
